Lieutenant General Shri PGK Menon AVSM, Commander of the Leh-based 14 Corps, also known as the Fire & Fury Corps. The General Officer PGK has had a distinguished career in the Indian Army, leading a number of important command and staff appointments. He is also the Colonel of the Sikh Regiment. The officer has previously commanded a Rashtriya Rifles unit in Kashmir valley, an Infantry Brigade along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir and an infantry division in the Eastern Sector. Prior to assuming Command of Fire & Fury Corps, he was tenanting the appointment of Director General Recruiting at New Delhi.

Lieutenant General Shri P. S. Minhas, (Paramjit Singh Minhas) SM,VSM. Minhas was commissioned into the Central India Horse. During his service career spanning four decades, he has held prestigious Command, Staff and instructoral appointments both in India and abroad. Lieutenant General PS Minhas hails from a complete services background. He is an alumnus of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun where he was awarded the coveted “SWORD OF HONOUR” for the best all-round performance in his course.
He has served with the United Nations Force in Lebanon on the Israeli border and has attended the prestigious National War College Course at Washington DC. He is M.Sc in Defence and Strategic studies in India and M.Sc in National Security Strategy from Maryland, USA. Earlier in his outstanding career, he has commanded an Armoured Brigade and an Armoured Division.
He has also served as a Brigade Major of a Frontline/Sensitive Brigade in the Kameng Sector of the Line of Actual Control in Arunachal Pradesh. Prior to his GOC Konark Corps assignment, he was the General Officer Commanding of Madhya Bharat Area whose area of responsibility spanned six States in Central India.
His handling of the Madhya Bharat Area during the Covid-19 pandemic is indeed praiseworthy. On assuming Command of Konark Corps, he exhorted all ranks to focus on operational preparedness and combat readiness with realistic training to achieve an outstanding level of military professionalism.

Shri Sanjay Kumar,IPS, Inspector General-S.S.B. (UNSDG-CGIM International Medal No-54)
Shri Sanjay Kumar, IPS, Inspector General (IG) of Bihar sector of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). now ADG (Law & Order) PHQ Odisha, a 1997 batch officer of Odisha cadre.
Before being promoted to IG rank, Kumar was posted as the Muzaffarpur DIG in the Bihar sector of SSB. Prior to joining SSB in 2015 and handling anti-Maoist operations in Bihar, he had also served as SP, SSP and DIG in Maoist-hit Rayagada, Sambalpur and Balasore districts of Odisha.
The officer had also been awarded President’s Police Medal, Governor’s Medal, Antarik Suraksha Seva Padak and DG’s Golden Disc for maintaining internal security and carrying out operations against Maoists.
In his two-and-a-half years stint in Bihar, Kumar will handle 12 battalions of SSB deployed on the Indo-Nepal international border and five more battalions engaged in anti-Maoist operations in Bihar and Jharkhand. Three SSB battalions are deployed in Muzaffarpur, Jamui and Gaya districts of Bihar and two battalions in Ranchi and Dumka.

Shri K. Ranjit, As Sector DIG he has been successful in implementing all safety measures as per MHA and MOHFW directions and establish transit camp and Quarantine Centre during lockdown period due to COVID-19. SHQ Muzaffarpur had organised Frontier level DISG/Comdts Ops Conference and State Police Co-ordination meeting under IG, Ftr HQ Patna.
As DIG(Int), Ftr HQ Ranikhet, he strengthened Int Setup in all field units which led to unprecedented increase in seizure in core area, including arrest of foreign National on Interpol Red Corner Notice.
As Commandant, 48th Battalion deployed in J&K, he organized rescue & relief operations which led to saving of 333 Civilians, treatment of 4281 patients. He liaised with Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Air India, Calicut Medical College, and arrange airlifting of essential medicines worth Rs. 10 Lakhs from Thiruvanathapuram and Kozhikode to Srinagar, J&K. He also coordinated airlifting of SSB water wing and Ration from New Delhi to Srinagar Airport.
For his outstanding services on Indo-Nepal Border, Indo-Bhutan Border, J&K, UN Mission in KOSOVO, his medal is recommended for Police Medal for meritorious service on the occasion of Independence Day, 2020.
